So what would you do...
The captain of the MS 150 team broke his ankle and without his leadership, the team has fallen apart. I could still do the 40 mile ride but at this time, I have no one to be a support team and would be driving by myself to the race site. I have not yet registered as an individual rider and haven’t paid the fee or started any fundraising. The other issue is the weekend after that, I’m in Vegas. I know I should just go ahead and register but it seems weird to do it all alone.

I still say go for it. It's a goal that you set for yourself, and something that you wanted to do.
It shouldn't matter who is or isn't involved.
I'm weird about doing stuff like that alone, so I probably wouldn't, but I agree with Whiz that if it's something that is really important to you, just do it!
Go for it. Join another group... see if you can semi-head the original group... or do it on your own... do something, it's a goal you've set for yourself.
You've still got us :)
I say go for it as well. I'll bet there will be other solo riders there. Who knows, maybe you will find a riding partner there and make a new friend. :) You can do it!! Go Stasha!!

hey! my direct manager is riding in this one!!
I say go for it. Although, as it's been described to me by my manager it may very well be an awkward experience by yourself (in terms of support etc...)It's supposed to be really warm weather too, and if anything happens to you, and although I am sure they have medics on staff for the event, it would be helpful to not be alone.
Just something to think of.
You're already confident you could do the ride. Continue with your goal. :-)
I'd go ahead and sign up for it too. You never know who might turn up to ride with you between now and then.
