2nd autocross of the season.

I ran autocross again this weekend and placed second, at 1:34 to the leader’s 1:33. I’m not as excited about the second place as I am about the time. After all, there were only 2 of us running in the class that day. I ran the entire day without a DNF (did not finish). Several of the guys ran into that problem. Now I did forget my hat and my sunscreen so I’m a lovely shade of cherry today. But I now have points for 2 races and only 2 more to go until I’m considered “in for the season.” We did get a rock chip on the way out to the race though.

Took the GMAT today

Today I took the GMAT, I was totally lost in the fractions on the math section. The verbal section was simple though and I was done with 30 minutes to spare. I scored 620 in the 76th percentile so not really hot but hopefully good enough. The cool part is I did this well without taking any prep classes (I did buy a couple preparatory books but I didn’t get all the way through them.) I was panicked after taking the practice test from the www.mba.com website but I’m glad that it’s over and I think I did okay. Now I just have to forward my preliminary results to the school to which I applied.

Here I am, out of school for 18 years and thinking about going back.

One of my goals is to support causes that I believe in. I believe in the 2nd amendment.
I show my support by being a member of Frontsight and last night, I attended a “Friends of the NRA” fundraiser. I’ve never been to one of these before and it was a fun event. I tried my hand at darts in the hopes of winning the WAGC T-shirt (I didn’t). My husband was there for the Winchester that was up for auction (It went for more than we were prepared to pay at the moment.) All in all it was a great time, we came home with 3 bronze statues (a mountain man that looks a lot like the husband when he goes out to teach history to school kids, a cowboy, and the 2006 sponsor statue, the paratrooper), a certificate for sporting clays, 2 new knives, and a picture of Lewis and Clark and all this for the price of new tires for the Jeep.
