Some More Firsts
I finally saw the Lipizzaner stallions perform live. My SIL told me that they were coming to town and I had her grab tickets for me. We were on the 5th row not close enough they could salivate on us but close enough to see the brands without straining. They were incredible, as were the riders.
Then Saturday morning, I participated in the Law Day 5K Run/Walk. I walked but I finished and I'm not too proud to admit that I was very happy that I had a 5 year old holding my hand as she skipped up the main uphill portion (which occured after the first mile). I may not have the energy of a 5 year old, but I did sprint to the finish line with a teenager who came out of the crowd to give us old fogies some support.
